Lumberjack Loop

This loops encompasses the very popular L123 trail which takes riders though or near 4 communities in the district – Moonbeam, Kapuskasing, Val Rita – Harty and Opasatika. Lumberjacks are a strong symbol of the history of area communities. Many men worked hard in the bush to provide for their families. While travelling this route you may see some of the modern logging activities of today. This loop takes riders on various types of trails such as hydro corridors, old logging roads, tree lined trails and provides the opportunity to possibly see local wildlife possibly including lynx, moose, wolves, foxes and rabbits.

This route begins in Kapuskasing on the A trail heading west to the L147; TOP A West; L147; TOP A West; L123 to TOP A west in Moonbeam; L135 ; Top A West back to Kapuskasing.
